Interesting. Did you cut out the decks to put in the planking? Also that backdrop is very cool.

Thanks for your input guys and Greyhawk, yes I did cut out part of the deck. I did it that way because I thought that just drawing the planks in with pencil would look flat. So glad I did it that way as well. I'm really pleased with the effect I got on the planks. I used a dark furniture wax. I don't know whether to use that particular dark wax on the upper exposed decks or use a lighter wax for that as the dark stuff might be too dark, there's a lot going on on the upper decks and it might be difficult to see some things against the dark background (any advice or thoughts on that matter would be greatly appreciated). I drilled all the holes for the nails on the ends of the planks then superglued them into place and then cut them off.
Oh and by the way, the background in the photo's is my duvet cover lol.
