Hi there all new to the forum need help with cutting the gun ports knife doesn't cut the bamboo any ideas thanks nib

BigGrin hi nibs the easy way to do it is to drill a series of small holes all the way round just inside the lines then join up the holes by cutting them with a new blade in a scalpel. Once cutout file back to the line hope this helps Cool

Hi Nib...It may be a tedious chore but drilling at least six or seven holes around each inner edge, of the gun port, top, bottom and two sides using a 1.mm or 1.5.mm drill bit then once done, swap to a larger drill bit 2 or 3.mm enlarging random drill holes around each edge joining up each smaller drill hole, remove the unwanted wood and trim with a sharp craft knife, file or one of those ladies fingernail emery boards...Hope this helps?

Thanks all for your answers i found time consuming so I thought of another idea I made a small metal blade for the demil drill worked fine and cuts nice squares ty nib
