Looking at that first picture (Nice link Steve)it may be a Sleeve failure as happened to VR930 whilst I was still on Historic Flight...The white smoke from one exhaust pipe is a bit of a clue.....When VR930's failed all there was, was the white smoke, a 50 rpm drop in engine revs and a bit of vibration........When I removed the cylinder though, it was utter devastation......If I remember correctly the T20 is on long term loan to the RNHF from Kennet Aviation, so presumably will go back there for repair...........Tony

Thanks Tony, your link certainly clarifies what happened, shame the gear didnt lock to minimise the damage.
I watched this one when I was at RNAS Yeovilton last saturday, such a nice aircraft, hope she's flying again soonBigGrin
