Well it seems that all my other builds have ground to a sudden halt, either waiting for parts, paint or upgrades of some sort or the other!! So I was looking for something to tide me over and found this!! I used to own one of these pocket rockets, and boy do I regret selling it now, a rough one is worth three times what my Busa is worth!! The nearest I will get to owning another one is building this! This will be an out of the box build, so what you see is what you get!

Engine and frame as a dry fit, both need painting. Tamiya kits go together so well!!!

Looks like a cool bike and I have no doubt that it will build into a very nice model by the time you have finished with it

Thanks for looking in and the comments. Been a busy afternoon, the fairings and tank and front mudguard came as 2 separate parts each. So after assembly came lots of flatting off, some primer, more flatting of and then paint. Frame is now painted and the engine block. More work to do on the fairings yet, masking off and then some red, but happy so far. Now to let it all dry properly, must learn patience!!!

More work done on the fairings, tail unit is finished.

Some more progress, and a step backwards! I am not happy at all with any of the body work, so I will be redoing them! The decals reacted with the lacquer and have wrinkled, no idea why, its the same lacquer I always use and it has only done it on these. Oh well, the joys of modeling!!

Ouch!! That's a real shame Daran and an annoying setback.
What was the type of lacquer you used?
