Hey all,

Has anyone on here yet needed too order any Spares? When painting my hummer I messed it up completely and simply ordered a single issue to replace the messed up part.

Sadly, when my throttle stuck open the other day, the RB7 crashed and snapped the front nearside lower wishbone, but Customer Services are saying I can only order a complete new pack, in my case this would be pack 2 as i need Issue 8, but surely DeAgostini don't expect you to order an entire pack for 1 simple plastic part?

By the time you order a decent selection of spares, you would have had to have effectively built another car, its a crazy way of doing things.

Unfortunately the system is not geared up to sell individual parts, only sold by Issue number and the content within.

Thanks for the reply.

I totally understand not selling individual parts, but I'm after a part out of the magazine 'issue 8'. Customer services have told me I cannot buy 'Issue 8', but I must buy 'Pack 2' containing issue 5,6,7 and 8.

As I say, when I ordered spared for the Hummer, I ordered simply the issue containing the part I needed, but didn't need to waste 3 other issues that I didn't need.

As a side note, I did attempt repairing the part with some liquid poly, which didn't touch it. Have ordered some plastic specialised epoxy to try and hold the two parts together. It broke at an obvious weak point where the two 'arms' which connect to the wheel connect to the pivot point on the vehicle. At this point for some reason only about 40% of the arm actually attaches, it broke right here as shown in the photo.

Sadly I think these wishbones are going to be the first thing to fail (aside from the front wing, (which mercifully was detached at the time) in any front impact. They're not exactly the easiest thing to replace seeing as they're literally the base of the entire front end suspension system!

Send an email here modelspace@deagostini.co.uk and they might be able to organise this issue for you, don't forget to include your account number.

Thanks Mr T.

Sadly they could only provide a complete pack 2.

Guys, be aware of this. You cannot get individual spare parts, or even single issues at a time. You must pay the £32.00 monthly cost for another replacement pack containing the item you need.

I have asked if this will change in the future, but if not its a very very poor method of distributing spares. At the end of the day, these are running models, not just standstill items so they WILL get broken.

For now, I have epoxied the part together, but have ordered a replacement pack anyway as I will be displaying the model later (once I have ran it in, had a little fun and the hummer H1 build is finished and I don't want to see the epoxy.

Are you able to order the issue through your Newsagent?

Here in Australia I recently order a single issue with my local Newsagent, had to wait a few weeks but it did come in.

Possibly, but the subscription model I think is different in the UK. We don't get the magazines, only pdf downloads so I'd suspect this isn't available via a newsagent.

Thanks for the thought though :)

From what I've seen, no its not I'm afraid. I'm hoping at some point they will all get added to the "back Issue" section on the Model Space website, but for now, spares seem to have to be ordered 1 pack at a time.

There was a "Need spare parts?" slip of paper that was in issue 115 with details of a website where we could order parts. Although when you go to the site, I can't for the life of me see how to order spare parts. I assume it's possible to re-order single or multiple issues through Bissett Magazines. I find calling them is easier than doing things via email.

I have been asking Tomick since end of march when the issues will be added to the online store, but as of yet no info on it but I do hope it's soon as I want to order spares for my racing RB7 and the last parts I need for my display RB7.
