An interesting article Andy. Let's hope they sort it before Monza, where the average lap speeds are much higher. A high speed tyre blow out there could result in a very nasty accident for someone?

I seem to recall previous Pirelli tyre blow out problems..
Might be an idea to introduce another tyre brand such as GoodYear, which would add more competition into the mix of thing's.

Pirelli have never really been on the same level as Michelin or Goodyear in my opinion and Goodyear would be my first choice. I would be surprised if the FIA went back to having more than one tyre supplier in a season, even though as you say Tom, it would mix things up, because when they last had that situation it just created tyre wars which ended up in severe acrimony and with any team who was not on the best tyre being at a distinct disadvantage with sometimes quite large differences between the tyres from each manufacturer?
Though I agree it would be interesting and fun!!
