Don't get me wrong, compared to other ships i have built the sovereign rigging instructions are very clear and easy to follow, but what I'm finding really annoying is some parts could have been fitted earlier before the rigging becomes congested. For example several belay pins are fitted to the rails beneath the shrouds and ratlines on the mainmast, almost impossible to drill straight holes here. There are numerous blocks fitted to the shrouds behind already fitted sails ,and 3 eyebolts to fit on the quarterdeck behind loads of lines (thanks for the heads up on this one martyn).I Posted this not to moan but to say if you have got all the issues it's worth reading ahead and maybe fit these parts earlier than instructed.

Can't disagree with you really, does appear to be a little out of sequence in fitting some of the smaller parts.... Makes sense for those following on behind to have a good look at what's ahead and add these smaller pieces as soon as they can...Cool Cool

BigGrin Hi Nick the rigging of the SotS is a bit strange. A heads up on two more eye bolts that have to be fitted to the bottom of the masts to hold the ropes for the flags they are not to bad to fit on the main and the mizzenmast but a pain on the foremast hope this helps rgd Martyn
