This is 1 of 3 kits that arrived today from Pheonix Models shop that was sadly closing down. This was found via there Facebook page, although it is always sad to see a bricks and mortar model shop close it did mean that I piked up this and two others for an amazing price.

I will post the others up but though I would post this one first as this is the one I am most excited about of the three.

The amount of plastic in the box is hugh for a 1/700 kit, containing over 600 parts Blink. There is a flash here and there on the sprues and lots of nice looking detail.

I will let the pictures do the talking BigGrin

One thing I have found is that the rear interior is not modelled which is a shame seeing as the hovercraft and landing craft are included.

All the aircraft are clear plastic, I have only shown a close up of one the rest were left in the bags as there are a lot, there are a couple of pictures which show what aircraft are included, the last picture shows how many of each.

I am not sure if I would be able to manage scratch building an interior on this small scale, will have to have a think what I want to do when I come to build this.

All the revewis I have read say that this goes together like a dream BigGrin

Looks like a well detailed kit for 1:700.

Weird though is that a USS ship should be named after an English county.

Weirder is the LHD, left hand drive.

It does look a great kit, I would have much preferred 1/350 but lots of 1/350 would start being and issue space wise.

Andy, I have used an optivisor before but found the optics to be very poor, although it was a very cheap one, any recommendations for a decent optivisor greatly received Cool
