Well nearly done I have added the Hand holds to the cab, the first two domes and the bell Left to do are the stack, front light and the bell rope which I hope to get finished by the week end. It is taking a bit longer to finish then I thought. The main problem is that with so many bits and bobs on this model I am being super cautious so as not to cause any damage as I go along. I am giving the glue plenty of time to set before I proceed to the next component. Still looking good so far GilShapley attached the following image(s): Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle

Well it took a while, not a straight forward build as I have already mentioned in this thread but I got there. Pictures of the finished model attached. I intend to add a piece of rolling stock to fill the track length and finish the display but that will be later as after this build I feel all "trained out" I have subscribed to the Eaglemass Orrery which will be a completely different build plus An Arab Dhow (Complete Kit in a box) as a fillin whilst I wait for the Orrery parts GilShapley attached the following image(s): Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle

Had some space to fill on the trestle bridge so after some thought I went for the OcCre Wagon Kit mainly because it is the same scale as the JUPITER Did not like the suggested colours (all over brown, yuk) so I went for similar colours to those I used on the Jupiter. The wagon has also been modified to suit my display. As the wagon is from a later period I decided to go for an Aesthetically pleasing rather than Accurate look. Wow!! What a fabulous build you have here Gil, it truly is beautiful and a very interesting subject too? Love the bridge, it really adds to the model and brings it all together nicely. Also love the look of the wagon, just perfect and for what it's worth I think the use of the blue with the chrome pins just looks so much like a certain part of the American flag or the stripes of the cross on the 'Dixie' flag?
Amazing work - very well done indeed, I really like that!!

Thanks for all the positive feedback Not sure what to do next I have started the Arab Dhow and the EagleMass Orrey, but looking for another challenge. I have the EMail re 20% discount for a complete set of various kits from Deag so I shall have to investigate this Gil Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle

I suscribed to the Sovereign of the Seas.it is very high quality and you could make a superb model out of this with your modeling skills Gil
And don't forget OCCRE has released the sister train to the Jupiter if you are feeling masochistic!!!

Hi Carl Thanks for the compliments/advice. MMMMmmm another OcCre train with the prospects of those transfers, think I would rather stick pins in my eyes. The Sovereign of the Sea is a thought and I was happy with the way my Victory turned out and I did learn a lot when building her but these ships require a large display space which could be a problem Am looking at the Red Bull RB7 as I fancy a RC model and it is on the list of 20% discount. Will have to make up my mind so I can let the Missus know what she has got me for Christmas Looking forward to seeing your Jupiter and Trestle when complete Gil Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle
