Got my first pack I was wondering is it worth doing the 12 Pdr and Anchor now or just collecting them and doing them as a batch same as the carronade? thank you FINISHED BUILDS---- HMS Victory--Bismarck--Battleship Yamato-D51 Steam Train--Pocher Ferrari Testarossa--Soleil Royal--Schnellboot S-100--StageCoach 1848--HMS HOOD-- Delorean (Back to the Future)

Very pleased to hear you have received your first pack and are ready to start building. The construction of the cannons and carronade is entirely your choice, some builders do them in batches, others do them as they come and some leave the lot as one big lot. You will however need 10 of them to start with to fit in Pack 4, prior to fitting the main deck so if it were me I'd wait until you have 10 then build these as a job lot..... .. Good luck with the build, look forward to seeing how you progress... Regards Alan

Personally even though I do have the complete kit, I do everything "by the book" doing a cannon with issue 1 then again with 14. I have found this to make sense, as these little "in between projects" provide valuable practice and experience at least for me as a total noob with woodwork.

Hi eebygum. look forward to seeing your build. In issue 1 the cannon base was round the wrong way. should be thin end to the ffront and wider part of base to the breach of the gun. i think they changed it round in issue 15. i made the mistake of doimg it the other hope this helps you. The cannon build in issue 1 has been corrected in the build sequence for the 12 month instructions, although there are a couple of supplementary images that still show it the wrong way round. Steve
