Hi

Having successfully completed my MP4/23 last week, BigGrin , I have got off to a bad start with the MP4/4/ Crying .

I've somehow managed to get glue onto the top of the nose cone from pack 1. I don't even know how it happened, but there it is.

Does anybody out there have a spare part or pack that I could buy, or if not how do I get a replacement from DeAgostini? I can't find a link to back issues from the website. Obviously I would prefer not to fork out another £40.00 for the entire pack one if I can avoid it. At least with the MP4/23 replacements were only £7.99!!

A silly mistake Blushing , but these things happen. If anybody can help I would be most grateful. Cool

Back issues are not available on the order system, but if you note the issue number of the parts sets you need it may be possible to purchase them.

You will need to order by issue number as individual parts cannot be sent.

Thank you Greyhawk and Tomick, I emailed customer services yesterday morning, but as on previous occasions they have not been exactly quick to reply. It sounds as though you may have had better luck, Greyhawk. If you have a particular contact there I'd love to know!! I've also bookmarked a relevant EBay page in case anything pops up there.

I completed my entire MP4-23 without any major cock-ups, and then on stage 1 of the MP4-4 I go and do this. I am kicking myself... Cursing

Unfortunately the person I exchanged mail with never identified her/himself. Sorry I can't be more help.

Thanks anyway. I'm afraid my experiences with customer services have been pretty disappointing, with emails usually going unanswered for days on end. The only way I got any response before was when Tomick kindly gave them a hurry-up on my behalf, when lo and behold they suddenly seemed to notice my existence. But this was after at least a week of waiting.

So here we are, Friday evening after emailing early on Wednesday. Not even an automated response, never mind an actual human replying.

I'll keep trying, but I think CS really do need a rocket up their behind sometimes..Cursing It's not a good reflection on the company.

If you know the issue number you may be lucky enough to find a single issue on the net, bit of a long shot.

Also we have a PM so you dont have to share private contact details on an open public forum, i would take that off quickly befor you get a lot of cold calls!!!!

Many thanks to Mel, who has sent me a replacement. Full steam ahead! Cool

As to customer services, after about a week and a half I got an email saying my query was being forwarded to the relevant department. Since then-nothing. Confused

So, without the help of this forum, and Mel in particular, I would still be waiting for a meaningful response, never mind an actual replacement part.

Thank goodness for the forum, that's all I can say.

In all my dealings with customer services I have found them worse than useless.
I rang them 3 weeks ago and was promised a replacement ariel for the model because mine was bent but as yet nothing has arrived.
Most of the problems are caused because they are not English and have a script to go by and any deviation from the answers on that causes no end of confusion.
Hopeless...

Thanks, Tomick. That is the same email address which I have been using. The problem is I rarely get a reply.
