Just had a good read through this great build, and all I can say is that you have now really upset me. I was going to do an out of the box build but seeing your build I am tempted to add some detail. Well I am waiting till I have about half the bits before I start so have plenty of time to decide. Keep up the good work and keep posting so I can use some of your good ideas. Thanks kwakermad. It's a lot of fun adding the additional detail. I've been working on more of the hold the last few days and will be updating soon with what I've done recently. A lot more customizing.

The corridor looks very cool. The pastels really make a difference.

That looks really good. Way to go. I have been wanting to do this also but I want to wait to until I can weather all the padding at the same time. Tamiya 1/32 P-51D, Revell 1/32 Bf 109G-6 x2 1/32 P-51B, 1/32 Trumpeter Bf109K-4, 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109E, Testors 1/32 F-117, RMF 1/35 Tiger 1

Like the mods to corridor, was watching ESB this weekend getting some ideals on what things I could do and noticed the walls and thought thats a good one to do and about an hour later you posted the latest pics showing that you modified the exact walls I saw lol, On the Bench DeAgostini Millennium Falcon, Moebius 1/32 Cylon Raider, Moebius 1/32 Colonial Viper, Bandai 1/12 R2D2&R5D4, Bandai 1/12 Scout trooper & Speeder Bike On their way Bandai 1/48 AT-ST, Bandai 1/48 Snow Speeder

I've been looking at some photos of the Falcon from the Anaheim Celebration when they showed off the model. Looking at some of these photos with the top panels off, exposing the inside. I gotta tell you, it's very difficult to see into the corridors for one. Some of the detail I've done I don't know if you'll honestly be able to see. So, I'm curious about others of you think. I'm now thinking about have the hold on display as it's own model, with the Falcon never open. I don't know. Just something I'm thinking about. I've still got another, Ouch, 1 1/2 years to decide before it'll be finished. But with all the work being put into the interior, it'd really be a shame to have a difficult time seeing it.

That's actually a good ideal, there is a great amount of detail and work to just cover it up, unless you could install some mini wireless cameras inside and then output to a screen hmm "looking at box of parts i have" I know I was thinking of doing something with the cockpit section due to having an extra one and maybe upgrading to some shapeway parts and making a little desk display for my office, and like you said have a year and a half to think about things, another ideal of having as a separate display is the extra detail you could add under the hold maybe have a Han or Chewy inside one. Removing the interior is an interesting idea. I just wonder if there are any structural issues if you remove the interior piece from the model. None of the builds are far enough along yet to see how it all fits together. I like how you replaced some of the hallway cushions with the open wiring. I was wondering if anyone was going to try that. Are you planning on adding the light fixtures that appear on the upper cushions as well? I was thinking about the exact same thing. I intend to use the wall mount for it, so getting to the top plate won't be all that easy to begin with.
I also have an itch to build the complete interior, anyway. Where I'd keep such a thing I have no idea.

Stephen I had thought about doing the cushion lighting as well, and the floor lighting along the edges. I've done some tests for the floor lighting to figure out how to do it best. Again, fortunately plenty of time for that.

Stunning...!!!!!!that looks fantastic.. Seems a shame to hide that level of detail in the finished model.. It should be used in episode VIII as the falcon set ... Very nice

Nice work with that work Colson. This keeps reminding me that I need to crack on and get my hold repainted as I want to change from a very dirty look to more of a clean look with just a bit of cargo dust in the corner. I've also got a stack of fibre optics that need plumbing in Just too many projects and not enough time

Hi Colson,
Looking at some of your photos is like looking at movie stills from ESB. Absolutely incredible attention to detail.
Regards, Stephan
