Hi Max, Welcome to the Spitfire build you will love this build as it progress, and where you are at the moment building those wing tips just make sure that they are square it will make the metal plates fit better later on. Hope to see your build pictures soon. Regards Trev. Work in progress: Tombstone (Scratch) - San Francisco 2. -The Mayflower ( scratch by plan).

Thank you one and all,I am not too hot on the computer my son will give me a hand to post some of the build, and yes my wing tips are good and straight. Just a little bit of info on me, my last build was 1/32 scale Hachette Lancaster I was in my seventies then, still am but getting close to that other number that comes after seven.I had bissett send me 13 back orders got stuck into them now awaiting issue 16,have plated leading edge,I have only pinned along the leading edge pre drilled main spar for pins but will not pin till I have more plates,I like to have every thing nice and flush. I have waffled on a bit so I will shut up for now. Max

Hi Max, How's your build going you should be at about fitting the Leading edge all the way round to the wing tip, with mine I had to adjust the fit with a file so that first plate fitted, so turn it over and see if it looks square underneath, you must be about to fit your first plate one of many. Hello Max
Yes welcome. I've just finished pack 8 and looking forward to the metal components. Some photos would be good-nice to see other builders progress.
By the way my uncle lives in Adelaide-a ten pound Pom!
Cheers
Alan
