 ok sorted it out and made a start.plans are a little vague but i am sure i will get there..anyway i have put her in a jig and installed the ribs cheers benny

next is the decks and the start of the first planking she is double planked so any mistakes can be sorted  cheers benny

hi jack first impressions are not that good but i am determined to get this one spot on..the ribs are not cut properly so i had some packing and shaping to do to get both sides the same cheers benny

Looking good so far Benny, and I agree with you about hiding any mistakes with the secondary planking, I had to totally rebuild the stern of the Cutty Sark, the secondary planking hid the changes perfectly. in the instructions it says the whales are applied first..i have done the first whale and a few of planks which i have caulked...is this a good idea to caulk the planks on the hull? i also plan to apply a nail finish to the planks any thoughts would be appreciated  cheers benny

Looking good mate, if the hull planking on my mamoli victory turns out even half as good as this I will be very happy. I know what you mean with regards to the shortage of wood, looks like I'm in the same boat!! _____________________________________

i have planked the top deck using the 3 plank stagger and gave it a coat of oil  cheers benny
