Hi guys, thanks again for your comments!
I want to show you the next update with the now completed base of the gallery.
As i mentioned before i don`t follow the instructions regarding the Gallery - do a little scratch build instead.
I bent some wooden profiles to simulate the real thing:As the next step i will give the lower hull a few coats of semi-gloss varnish to seal it. And then - and i`m very excited about that - after about two years she will leave the "upside-down"-jig and be put in her upright position at last! I will then work my way up at the gallery, which again will pose a lot of challenges - especially because of the different height of the windows at the side parts and the rear part of the gallery.
Thanks for looking in, DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter

Hi guys! It`s been a year - and after a move and after completing my McLaren and D-51 build i will now again continue my Victory.
As mentioned before, i try to build the gallery and transom as near to the original as possible with my skills.
Earlier in the build i decided to use the enhancement transom part but stay with the side-gallery parts as they came with the partwork (the reasons for that have been discussed in extenso :-) ).
As i used different wood profiles for the gallery-linings, the different heights of the windows caused a lot of problems and each step took much consideration and time. I had to settle down for some compromises, as you can see in the pics.
So let me show you, where i am at:
As much as the side-gallery windows are sitting in the right height (compared to the deck height) using the original parts, they still are too big in height themselves in my opinion (i hope my english is understandable). So i attached the next wood-profile a liitle bit lower to reduce the height and to be able to connect with the profile on the transom as properly as possible:After each step multiple rounds of tydiing up and painting! As i will show you in upcoming posts, i had (and will have) to adjust the photoedge parts of the pillars (?)as when using wood profiles instead of the photoedge only, these parts are much too big.I tried to simulte the decorations on the inside of the bulwarks with some twisted wire - i`m afraid it didn`t quite turn out as perfect as i would have wanted to, but it still is a nice effect in my opinion:As always thanks for looking in![/size] DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter
