I think I might build my own and print one out. Then I can customize it to exactly how I want!

Charles, I've thought about that before too. It would be sweet to be able to have complete control over the details.

Well, it's been a while since I updated. Just got confirmation of payment for shipment 4, but in the meantime (and at the risk of being repetativeBigGrin ) here are some more pics of my hold. Nothing is glued down yet, waiting until I know I am happy with it.

Btw...I called customer service to look into sending 4,5 and 6 in quick succession, and they said no problem. That is great. I haven't seen the payments processed yet, but I will let you guys know.

Thanks Dwayne. I still have a few more colours to add to the Shapeways pipe and supports, but it's coming along.

As for the floor....I am procrastinating with that one. I always have a hard time making that first cut. I'll probable end up waiting until the last minute and I'm ready to fix the hold to the structure.BigGrin

I've not bought any of the printed parts yet. I need to make up my mind. It's like a candy store on Shapeways. So many goodies.

Working on the Bandai 1/48 AT-ST and couldn't resist a little photo shoot. The figures aren't exactly to scale, but they're close. With a little work, could make a Han Solo out of one of them.

Are those barrels and boxes shapeways? Or do they come with the falcon kit?

Love the look of your interior. I ordered several of the same Shapeways parts for my build. I like the idea of have figures in the ship as well. Saw that Shapeways has a scale size R2-D2 for sale already and is working on a Han, Chewie and other figures as well. Keep the pictures and ideas coming.

Thanks Stephen. Your cockpit and hull plating look great! I will probably end up getting a few figures myself.

While I wait for more packages to arrive, I just keep fiddling with my hold....(that sounded dirtier than I intended)Laugh

I still haven't glued much of anything down, it's all just sitting in place or stick tack'd into position. I have real commitment issues. That first cut/glue/paint stroke is always the hardest.

Given that the pilot seats and yokes are big, I think those figs are great scale. I may get that AT-ST just for the Chewie figure! I assume he came with that kit.

I think the Shapeways quads are based on the 5-foot ESB Falcon. That has a ton of additional detail that the 32" doesn't.

The Chewie figure did come with Bandai kit. There's no posability, so it would take some surgery to make him fit in the cockpit....but nothing too difficult.

And I think you're spot on about the quad cannons. That is where there is some confusion out there. Some of the pics that people are using for reference are the 32" model and some are from the 5 footer. So if someone is determined to have it 100% accurate to the 32" filming model, the shapeways quad may not work for them. Personally, I just want it to look cool.BigGrin

Great detail so far. How is the size comparison, the AT-ST to the Millennium Falcon? Would they make a good diorama together?

Thanks Dwayne. The AT-ST is 1/48, while the Falcon is about 1/43 I think. Not exactly the same scale, but pretty darn close. The Chewie looks spot on for size, but the drivers look a bit small. I think they would make a great diorama together. If you put the scout walker in the back you could always claim "forced perspective" if anyone noticed the size discrepancy. BigGrin

Well, it's been a while since I updated. I called DeAg and got them to send me boxes 5-7 early, which they did (Thanks DeAg!!BigGrin )So now I am all caught up through issue 28. I think I may actually be done with the cushionsLOL .Here is a deluge of corridor pics. I didn't actually paint the cushions, I just weathered them with pastels and coated with a flat clear coat. I'm not thrilled with the cushions in the hallway leading to the cockpit. They had almost a wood grain-y finish to them that the weathering did not entirely hide.

I also couldn't resist posting a couple of pics of the new Hot Wheels Falcon from TFA. With a bit of a black wash and some weathering, it looks pretty good. Gee, maybe I could have saved myself a bundle, and just got that one and called it quits.LOL

Cheers.
