I have just taken out my subscription to SOTS and will not start for a while so in a way this query is a bit premature!
The Series Guide shows the SOTS with triangular deadeyes, however, I notice from the build diary that round ones are supplied. Does anyone know which is historically correct. I prefer the look of the triangular ones and would consider purchasing them elsewhere. I would be grateful if someone could tell me what size and how many are required for the build.
Thanks
Gandale

First of all Ian, a very warm welcome to the forum, you have chosen a great kit to build and am sure you'll thoroughly enjoy the challenge. We are here to assist should you have any problems or queries, all you have to do is ask.

Unfortunately, there is very little historical information available for this great ship and most of the literature surrounding her is based on author's interpretations. However, if you are looking to be as authentic as you can then this is a book I would recommend you obtain. It's heavy reading in places but full of what is believed to be factual information.

Hope this helps.

BigGrin Welcome to the forum Ian and as Alan said there is a lot of interpretation of this ship as all the build plans where lost in a fire so all we have are paintings from various artists and engravings but the Sephton book is very good Cool

Looking forward to seeing your build Rgd Martyn
