Some impressive figures from the Tour weekend:

They received over 660,000 data hits (requests to the tracker server) in one hour, over 1.5 million map views, a reach of 750,000 on Facebook, 10 million Twitter impressions over the weekend and an estimated viewing audience of well over 300,000 people over at least 40 locations.

Two-hour traffic jams, thousands of people lining the roadsides, website servers and tracking systems that just could not cope with the huge demand!

This was no major national sporting event, but the final long range flights by a national icon, the last flying all-British designed and built four-engine aircraft - Avro Vulcan XH558.

As end of flying nears, the interest in Vulcan XH558 is climaxing at national levels not seen since the retirement of Concorde back in 2003.

The final flight is to be streamed live on YouTube, date to be announced shortly. Cool
