Another superb session on your build, really do think you are doing a fabulous job with this.... Love your rope coils, can see a need for another short tutorial on how you achieve them, am sure many members would love to follow your lead..... .. Keep up the fabulous work, not long to go now before you get to the end.... very well done..... Regards Alan

Hi everyone, back again as I said before I have been busy with my new job for the last week ,so haven't really got much done, just managed to fit two sails on the foremast over the weekend. Six sails raised seven to go. How are you other sovereign builders getting on ? seems a bit quiet on the Sots build section. nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!

Hello everyone, well it's been a while. Thanks for all the really nice comments, glad you like my garden Chris.I have been very busy at work leaving me little time for shipbuilding,it's a bit of a change going from using 12 inch lengths of timber to working with 16 foot lengths. I have managed to fit the upper fore sails which now completes the fore and mainmast,I have also made and fitted all the false rope coils (very fiddly). I have also had a bit of trouble with weather changes affecting the rigging some lines have slackened and some have tightened. One of the upper forestays became so taught it distorted the flagpole and had to cut and redo the lashings.Next job will be the bowsprit sails, the lower of which will be fully furled. nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!
