HI All,  Thanks to all above for the comments and here`s another small update. Having fitted the control levers in the cockpit a small block of wood is added to the top section and the existing part trimmed ready for the installation of the pilot`s console.Pic 1 When set the area is painted black to match the rest of the frame. There are three parts to the pilots console which are the main back plate, a secondary plate to add six more clocks to the console and a compass that is fitted at a later stage. All three parts have a printed background to put on the back face to show the clocks, there are also eleven single buttons to fit and paint and the clock faces are given a spot of gloss varnish to imitate the glass covers. (Sign writing still to be done before fitting into the cockpit and when fitted the compass is added).Pic 2 As there is a massive amount of stringers to be added in this model, thought I`d make a start on the right wing constructed earlier. There is a template to hold the wing ribs straight whilst fitting the stringers to keep them in the correct position.(Template shaded black in pic so you can see it better).Pic 3 Finally I`ve made a start on the wiring on the panel that will fit behind the pilot`s console (having painted it black and cleaned off all the rivets and connector points). I say "made a start", because it`s very taxing on the eyes and patience. First job to fix two bare metal lengths of wire. (Not to difficult at this point).Pic 4 Now you have five cables to fix in place. This is where it gets very taxing on eyes and patience, as each cable has five internal wires and they are micro fine. Below is just one cable fitted and it was time for a break.Pic 5 Well that`s all for now and thanks for looking in. Awesome work Del! Are the wires on the back of the console part of the kit or you super detailing it, either way they look pretty cool and can understand how they would be quite taxing on the eyes

Just purchased the full kit, all 125 issues, from that well known on line auction site. Got it at a good price too. Been looking for this kit for a while. So Hope to start some time in the new year so I will be studying Dels build with an added interest Gil Current Build:-

I have the full kit too but it's waiting in the stash :-) Any images I post on my personal builds are free to be used and shared under Creative Commons Attribution license, which means you can do what you want with them, on the condition you mention I'm the author.

I found those stringers to be bloody awfull to stick on the frames  COMING SOON =1/72 Italeri diorama`s Battle for the Reichstag and Stalingrad battle at the tractor factory 1/16 Trumpeter King Tiger with loads of extras ON THE GO= refurbishment of 1/25 Tamiya tiger 1 , amt Star trek kits and space 1999 models

Found a quick way to do it on my DC3 build: put a dab of superglue in each of the notches in the frames where you want to put your stringer in. Spray the stringer with CA accelerator, then glue it in. Grabs instantly, no problem at all. Any images I post on my personal builds are free to be used and shared under Creative Commons Attribution license, which means you can do what you want with them, on the condition you mention I'm the author.
