Well it had happen sooner or later, I was tying one of the lines of the bowsprit to a cleat, and the cleat just broke straight off. Luckily it was pretty easy to fix.I had previously reinforced all the pinrails by pinning and glueing but had not thought to pin the cleats.My advice to anyone who hasn't reached the rigging stage yet would be to pin all four pinrails and the cleats and also make sure the handrails are secure as Backstays are attached to these. A very good tip Nightwisher especially about the the handrails as to much pressure will pull them off as I found out and spent an hour gluing them back down Rgd Martyn Building ? Completed. Yep, have to agree with you. Need to ensure all cleats and pinrails are securely fastened, they can be so easy to pull away when tensioning any rigging.... Good tip.... Regards Alan
