Sorry to say it, but you may have a long search. Crying

I`ve checked every avenue I know, without luck.

I passed on my spare issue one some time ago and haven`t seen another since.

The Prop and bomb can be sourced from other issues but the wooden fret is your problem.

I wish you luck in your search and will keep looking in the mean time.

Regards

It won't come back into stock as the colection has long since been killed off.
Your only hope is the likes of eBay but its a long shot at this point in time. Most issue 1's will be tied to complete collections they wont want to split, but you never know you might juts fall lucky one day, just keep your eyes peeled.

Hi Shaun, BigGrin

So glad you managed to source part 1.

Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

Four months is a long tense wait.Blink

Maybe a lesson to those who follow, that the early parts are sometimes the hardest to get. People either start the build, stop and then throw it away, or they collect and then sell a complete set of parts.

At least we get to see another one started here. (I hope)BigGrin

Not sure if I will make a build dairy for this model as I have already started building it. When i bought the kit about a year ago it was a complete set and did build issue one. Then about five months ago I moved the model into my new modelling workshop I build, not sure what happened but I found the nose for my Lancaster on floor a few days later and it had been completely crushedCursing. At least now I can Carry on with the build and the model won't be left as a part built model.
Also more good news is that after over a year the billing boats titanic model is back it stock in the uk. A had an email from them last week and they are sending me a free one because of all the problems I had with the model I bought last yearBigGrin I hope I don't have the same problems I had with this kit as the one I had last year and I am thinking a May do a build dairy for this kit.

I was lucky enough to get the complete kit from EBay and at a good price

It is in my "Pending" file at present whilst I complete my Arab Dhow, then the RB7 which I purchased as a complete kit and am half way through. Had some issues with missing parts but this has now been resolved.

I must admit I did not realise how big the Lancaster was going to be

What were your issues with the titanic kit then? That is one major investment and really surprised it had problems but pleased you are getting a replacement.
Happy Modelling

Hi Tony, the kit was missing a lot of parts including 4 of the life boats, brass parts for the decks and wooden parts that made up part of the hull. There was also damage to the brass etching. I original ordered the kit in January 2015 and it came the next day but after about four or five months of emails and phone calls they couldn't give me a date as to when I would get a replacement kit or the parts that were missing and damaged. So in the end I returned the kit to the shop I bought in from and I got a full refund for the kit.
I hadn't heard anymore about it since then until last week when I had a email from them apologising for the problems I had with the kit last year and were sorry to hear that I was unhappy with the service from they. It then went on to say that the kit was back in stock and that they are going to send me one free of charge. I'm not sure why they are or why it took they so long to apologise but I'm not going to turn down a free model and hopefully it will be a lot better than last time.
