Nice work on the lift there a chalenge and sometimes a shoe horn comes in handy but thee results speak for themselves

I have noticed that some of the thin ply pieces are really warped

Looking great. There is certainly a lot of work in those lifts.

Hi Phil

The metal strip is marked so you can get the bend exactly right, best to use a vice or etch bender tool with rubber protectors and a square of something hard to bend it, using this method there will be no need to score the back with a file and keeps the part stronger.
The reason being if you bend it around a ruler the windows can distort towards the centre side strip as there is little support here. Slightly over bend it as its easyer to pull back than push forward if you see what I mean.
Also to make things easyer for yourself paint the section behind the windows Matt Black as it saves trying to do it later like I did through the windows.
