I have followed your build to the letter Starting with the bottom plank flush with the lower gun deck Iam now on layer five completed and according to the instructions I should be level with the top of the gallery supports layer six will just reach the top of the supports Have i done something wrong or are my planks narrower than in the official build mine are 5mm I would be very interested if anyone else as had the same problem .I await any answers. Canno post any pictures as my camera is still poorly

Layer 5 should rest so that it is approx half a plank width above the top of the gallery supports, where later on you sand the excess back to being level with the top of the gallery supports.

Initially it sounds like your first layer has for some reason been set too low, if you can muster a photo it would certainly help in being able to direct you.

You need to fist ascertain why you have a shortfall before you progress any further.

hi,by the time you have sanded flush with the supports you should be 4.5 planks up..number 5 plank will be 2 or 3 mm above the supports..hope this helps paul
