I have built most of the main cannon, this was like a mini kit on it's own, it still has the slider mechanism to be added yet which I plan to paint red ocre for some colour. The last pic shows roughly where the gun will sit on the boat.

That is stunning work Steve and the finish on the woodwork is simply gorgeous, some of the best I've ever seen and the cannon looks like real cast iron! Definitely a model worthy of display in any museum in my view.

A little splash of colour now with the sliding gun carriage, did some research and these were painted all sorts of colours, but more often red. Not going to fit and rig this permanently into place just yet as I think I need to sort out the white paint on the lower hull and waterline etc before I start sticking too much detail in. More soon.
