Just received notice that my first shipment for my Millennium Falcon is on the way. Very excited to have found this. I am surprised that these types of subscriptions haven't been offered in the US before. Or have they and I have just been missing the boat? I was looking for a FM 1/72 scale Falcon when I read a rumor that Revell had bought the FM molds to continue producing the model. I preordered it last week. As I was looking at others builds and doing research I stumbled onto the Model Space website saw the Falcon that was offered and had my credit card out before I knew it. Had to have this beast of a Falcon model.Love Look forward to building it and seeing others build theirs.

If anyone is interested:Revell Master Series 1/72 scale Millenium Falcon

Something about me: I'm pushing 50 now been building models since I was 10. My first model was a 1957 Chevy Bel Air. Sliced my finger open the first day building it with a hobby knife but, that never deterred me. That was 1977 and a little known B movie called Star Wars had just released. My aunt came over to take us to go see the Disney movie Fantasia (Ironic huh?) but my brother and I begged, pleaded and cried to go see Star Wars and she relented. When that Star Destroyer filled that screen I was hooked.
Best Regards,
Ron

Hello Nytetrain and welcome to the forum, hope that you enjoy your time here, we are a very friendly and helpful bunch as I'm sure you will find out.

I love the '57 Chevy Bel Air, a very elegant car and one that has always reminded me of an old British car that my father had when I was a kid back in the late '60s - the Humber Hawk Series II - which was quite similar in shape even down to the slight bump in the mid line by the bottom of the rear side windows as it flows into the rear wing, though they didn't have that lovely fin at the back of the rear wing as on the '57 Chevy!

You can see a Humber Hawk Series II here:

Welcome Nytetrain, BigGrin

Good to see another falcon build. Cool

Lots of people on here to help and/or advise should you need it, or even some you may be able to assist with your experience.

Look forward to your build updates, hoping you`ll be starting a diary for all of us to enjoy.
