Looks good to me Ken, reminds me of a kit I did once, spent a fortune on primers and gloss whites, cutting it back and respraying etc - finally happy and my wife says ..."but it was white in the first place, if you wanted it white you should have just left it" Steve

Ken Been keeping a keen eye on this one. You have had your ups and downs but full credit to you for keeping with it. Beginning to look really nice. You almost had me pressing the button to order one but got to control myself some (loft already full of kits) Not sure what you intend to finish with but the Halfords paints are very good and as most of them now seem a lot better than the old harsh chemical versions from years ago some good colours to choose from. Happy Modelling

I'm sorry to hear you are going through a bad modelling spell Ken. Just think back to the ships that you recently sold for a very nice sum . Probably easier to said than done but hopefully looking back on those sales will help you work through this bad patch

kpnuts wrote:Don't talk to me about halfords paints they ruined my Citroen. Oh dear - its been a few years since i used them n some car models. Our halfords moving to the outskirts of the town has not seen me there for sone time. Was always a fan of their undercoat sprays as well as price was always on my side. Happy Modelling

Hi Kp, Not sure if you can get Simple Green or Super Clean in the UK but, that is what I use to strip the paint and chrome off my plastic models. It won't soften the plastic and its biodegradable. So it completely washes away after soaking in water. I know your not a beginner but sometimes a new set of eyes can help. Humidity and temp when you sprayed? Solvent residue left over from previous stripping? Hope this helps... I hate getting stuck and having issues like the ones you are having at the moment. I had to laugh at what you wife said to you. My wife has said the same to me and I gave her the same reaction. Your build looks very good so far. Hopefully, you can solve the primer issue. I am sure I read somewhere here but I am lazy and don't want to go back through. What kind of primer did you use? Anyways, Good luck with the build. Best Regards, Ron
