BigGrin Hi All

We sometimes get questions on how to tap the holes for the screws on some of our models, we can use a screw as suggested in the instructions but this can sometimes cause the destruction of the screw and If too many are used then your left short for the build.

To counter the above I had a look around good old Fleabay and found several watchmakers Tap and Die Sets there are several sets available at varying prices but I chose a medium priced set which arrived today.

Nicely packaged in a sturdy plastic case it has the handle for both sets and taps and die's to cut M1,M1.1/M1.2,M1.4.M1.6,M1.8,M2,M2.2,M2.5. Of course the smaller sizes will be used less than the bigger sizes but a nice little set.
