I just received an email to say that my Revell Master Series 1/72 Millennium Falcon has shipped and is due to arrive on Nov 30th. Stay tuned for pictures or the wife and I may do an unboxing video. Unless someone gets to it before me and we will see how much time we have, it being a holiday weekend here in the US. Best Regards, Ron

The Fnemolds, so also this one, is a very nice kit and goes together like a dream. I was lucky enough to grab a Finemolds Falcon from HLJ when they had them in stock. I've seen them on a well known auction site for about £500

Are their any differences between the new Revell kit and the original Fine Molds? I have a brand new Fine Molds kit as well, and wondering whether to order this new version.

No there's no difference. It's the same Fine Molds model. Just in a different box with Revell's name on it. They used the same molds, Revell just made a deal with FM to use there molds since FM lost the Stars Wars license to Bandai and couldn't make them anymore. I will take some close up pics of the parts when I open the box so people can compare. Best Regards, Ron

There is a slight difference whereby the turret rotation system has been reworked, the turret actually sits a little higher than the Finemolds one.
I believe this redesign was due to turret movement in the Finemolds kit not being very smooth, however a little bit of filing to the lugs that hold the Finemolds turret assembly in place resolved that issue on my Finemolds kits, essentially plastic lugs holding the assembly in place are too thick causing too much friction.
Apart from that they should be identical
