Cheers mate lol what I meant was, any pictures of the real launch, I cant see any skid planks etc so should they be fitted, or have the build just added them for aesthetics so to speak.

Sorry David, I misread your posting mate, I have had a good search and found none with the skids shown in our build instructions, so I think that Deag have added them for, show or artistic licence...found this though, may be of interest??

Don't apologize mate, I know it's hard to read and understand my posts, even I dont understand them sometimes LOL Must be due to playing with lego characters lol.
Yeah, that's the link I was on, and that's what made me notice that there wasn't any skid planks showing, so thought I would ask the question? I have added them to mine, but I was just curious to know, anyway, cheers for taking time to help me mate, much appreciated BigGrin BigGrin

Yeah, I wondered about that myself. Maybe they were there once upon a time and sort of "rubbed" away. Personally I found them quite tricky to do.BigGrin

I found the easiest way was to sand down 2 cocktail sticks to roughly half size so that you have a flat side & a rounded side, smooth off the points to a rounded profile.Gently rubbing between forefinger & thumbnail put a bend in them to suit the launch.
I too have very dodgy hands, not only are they the size of steam shovels but I have arthritis & nerve damage so have very little feeling in them most of the time but this method worked for me.

So Jack Sparrow is making two Black Pearls I wonder if that's because Captain Barbossa and the crew keep pinching the first one!. Are you making the Tiger Tank to protect your ships Jack?
