I was doing the usual nosing about the Internet, and cam across this site www.modelshipbuilder.com and to be honest, it's a very interesting site, well I came across this thread Scrtach Building HMS Victory it's amazing to see this guy at work, what talent, I was fascinated, especially the way he made the ships lamps, there was also some interesting gadgets he's made for making rope etc on page 3, anyway, I thought I would share my find with you all.

Best wishes
David

I know the way he makes the smallest parts from a thin dowel or plank is incredible. I wish my eye sight was up to that level of detail. Cool

I started fairing the hull two days ago by touch and using a plastic trim 2mm x 11.5mm x 1 metre instead of using a wood plank, the plastic bends easy and I can check the line over a longer distance.

I just had a good look at his build which is 1:96 scale, he explains how he made a stamp for making the copper sheathing on the hull!
Just thought I would mention it.
