Hi everyone Before I make a huge mistake I need your help. The sanding of the hull around the end bits 28-31 do they have to be even? One bit (forgive the lack of technical knowledge)is prouder than the other two so do I sand it down to be level. The photos are good but I need some very down to earth help. The mag says place a plank to check if smooth but I don't want to mess this bit up. Any help would be more than helpful and fully appreciated but I will be cheeky and ask if it can be put in basic English -e.g you need to sand down part A to fit part B. Thanks everyone, love the forum and everyone's advice. As a complete beginner to model making this bit scares me. I am also going to plank the gun deck just waiting for my planks. Thanks everyone Pam (Derby)

Hi Pam, Im not up to that bit yet(fairing), but i would make sure that both sides are as closer match as possible. This will help with the planks lining up and being even width and number on both sides. However, if your painting it, this will not matter as much. Good luck i dont know what weapons will be used in ww3 but ww4 will be sticks and stones.

Hi I am not so good on the photo side as my Apple Mac is playing silly devils with iphoto.
What I am worried about is which bit to sand down at the back of the boat is the bit that sticks out and its the bits before that that need I think sanding so they are all level.
I hope you tech lads can understand what I am asking.
Plus I noted Mr T on your photos that the square end you have curved slightly. God I have got to get a new computer so I can get some photos on board...
Cheers Pam

Hi Pamlupo. Tomick. I beleive Pamlupo may be refering to parts 33 - the outer edge piece's of the Gallery support. Perhaps if Pamlupo can double check the Official build log (part 14 ish)and give us a part and photo/JPG number, we may be able to help. Only an idea! See ya.

You need to smooth the stern frames so they blend into each other in a gentle curve, this photo should help you. Tomick attached the following image(s):

What do you mean by finish off, there isn't a great deal of fairing required at the bow other than ensuring you have a good contact surface for the planking to be secured to and for it to run smoothly, use a plank to check the flow around the bow up to the keel, have a look at my diary build for issues 20/21.

Gallery supports to bow tip is 720mm (give or take a few mm), obviously this does not include the full overhang of the gallery; will be a while yet before bowsprit info is available.
