Hi All

Just a little query...

Are the 1.5 x 1.5 strips glued in without painting or varnishing? There is no mention in the procedure...Blink

If no surface treatment is required and the strips are fitted bare wood - what is the reason?...Blink

Hi John, you are correct. The 1.5 x 1.5mm strips are not painted or varnished according to the instructions and it is not right or wrong. Down to your own personal preference and I actually chose to paint these strips gold whilst others decided to simply varnish. Hope this helps.

Regards

Alan

Hi Alan

Many thanks for your prompt response...Cool

Yes, my first inclination was to paint them gold to match the stern galleries frame work, but on reading the instruction and checking Mr T's diary - found there was no specific ruling...Blink

So I wasn't sure if there was an ulterior reason for it lurking further down the track...I've been caught out a couple of times now by anticipating something incorrectly and requiring rectification...Blushing

I will paint the wales gold...BigGrin
