Hi guys, I haven't bought model paints for some time now, and as reading through SAM Scale Model Aircraft, there appears to be a heck load of new companies, what I would like to know is, those of you who build plastic model kits, what paint manufacturers do you recommend?

I was trying to get hold of Model Master brand, but just cant find a good supplier in the UK.

Thanks for any advice you can provide

Best wishes

Hi lonestar ,

These are what I use, They are alcohol based but are water soluble, (Is it for the c-130)..
MDC Gunze Sanjo
Or as an alternative these are completely water based . If you thin them right you get a nice finish..Lifecolor

Here is a Conversion Tool for you ..Paint Conversion Tool Download.

Thanks Chris.....

Yeah they are for the C-130, went to a local shop, and all he had was enamels, I kind of got fed up of using them, started loving the acrylic ranges, so a huge thanks for the advice, I can start ordering now lol
