This is a resin Triceratops kit.I was a real pain to assemble because there were no instructions and all the ribs looked the same.My wifes cousins kid is a big dinosaur fan so this is for him

Nice work Carl, I like dinosaurs, find them fascinating and I must say I love the paint effect you've achieved, they really look like old bones!! Cool ThumpUp

Seems a bit of an odd pose for a Triceratops to be up on its' hind legs though? Is it that how it is shown on the box art as I thought they were more normally on all four legs? Just a thought, and not finding fault Carl but I'm sure your wife's cousins' kid will be very pleased with it anyway as it certainly looks very cool - well done Carl! Cool ThumpUp

Thanks guys

Kev it is supposed to be reared up.I think it is meant to be in a fighting pose. There is no way you could pose it on all four feet because the front limbs are bent.I have a T-rex kit too and I think they are supposed to placed as though they are fighting.I agree I think it is highly unlikely it could rear up that much.

It was a bear to build. No instructions and I think he gave me mainly left ribs so I had to modify the ribs to make them fit on the right. There were also air holes in a lot of the pieces so I would attach the ribs and then try to position them and they would snap off.Grrr.

I used thinned paint as washes to build up the layers and used an airbrush to apply some of the colors.
