Agree Andy, that's some nice etch I recall what Kev mentioned about the join at the neck and at the time I didn't have the skills to do anything about it but I hope they have sorted it unless it's a re-release of the original. If not then I'm sure you will have no problem sorting it Mark I'm sure there are other Resin parts for this albeit a tad expensive and I'm pretty sure I've seen a metal undercarriage set for it. This Can be an expensive hobby you know! Spence

Hi Andy . Eduard do some great etch and very fine. Not to thick . The book is really thought out and even if you are not a modeller would still be a great read. Thanks for looking in. Best regards. Mark

I have not come across any resin parts yet ( but if anyone has please let me know or put up a link ). I have seen a review of the white metal undercarriage and although looks great the reviewer said that there was no difference between the metal or the kit undercarriage only the weight so I think I will stick with the kit one. Here is a link to the white metal undercarriage http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/SAC48072

Kev Hi Kev .
.... If you could possibly find a link to the guys website I would very much like to see that.
Thanks for looking in and the information.
Best regards.
Mark Hello again Mark,
Apologies for not getting back to you sooner, been very busy and had trouble finding the site again. It took me quite a while and a lot of digging but I eventually found it:
http://www.master194.com...pic.php?f=4&t=84016
Problem is, it's a French site so you'll need to copy and paste the web address into 'Google Translate' if you want to read the 'how I did it' bits? Take a look on page 11 of the thread for some great photos of the finished model and you'll see what I mean about the level of detail in his build and also page 3 shows the missing vanes in the air intakes that I was talking about, plus some cool photos of his very realistic looking finished undercarriage assemblies? Great stuff!!
Hopefully that will give you some idea of what can be achieved with a bit of extra work to the basic kit?
All the best and good luck with the build Mark!!
Kev

Hi Mark, I have this kit in my stash too. It's a fantastic kit and a beautiful aircraft. I look forward to seeing your build diary when you start. I love the etch and the book as well. Did the etch come with the kit?

I love the etch and the book as well. Did the etch come with the kit? Hi Glen and happy xmas to you and family. Sorry I have not replied to you earlier but I have not been on here for awhile and I have not started this kit yet. Both of the etch came from Eduard. If you look down the page on this link there is some more aftermarket parts https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/RV4900
When I bought this kit there was only the etch and the book available at the time but now there is some resin parts available which I will be looking into. Thanks for you question and hope this helps you with your build of which I hope you also put a build dairy on here. Best regards for the new year. Mark

Looking forward to seeing a build diary for this impressively sized model, should look great when built, though you'll need a pretty big display cabinet for it!!

Hi All . Well I took the plunge and started as I could not hold of any longer . This is not going to be a fast build. I wont be following the instruction sheet steps as I wanted to build all the internal assembly's first. I started with the main undercarriage well. I must say that the ejection pin marks were a bit overkill being nearly 1mm high as can be seen in photo 2 which sorry to say is a bit blurry. I wont be undercoating or spray painting yet as I wanted to get all the internal assemblies together first and then undercoat. Well thanks for looking in and please let me know your thoughts and ideas. Best regards all. Mark mark 2 attached the following image(s):
