Hi all, First off I can say as I suppose everyone says "I am new to this thing". Well the truth is that I was building some years back. It was a product made by "Hachette" I think, It was an "RC Nitro car" This is what i am going to build: Build Lord Nelson's HMS Victory Anyway: For the guys into this a while now, could you please be so kind an honestly give me a difficulty rating between 1-10 as ten is difficult and one is easy building this kit. I already signed up and think this might be loads off fun and time consuming. Thanks

Hi Guyv3r and welcome aboard mate...as a rating between 1 and 10 I'd give this build around 7 but that is up to the individual builder, I have three builds under my belt and I still rate Victory as 7 and a challenge, otherwise I would not be building Victory... I hope that you enjoy your build an get great fun out of your construction as I have out of mine so far... Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

Hiya mate, and a huge warm welcome to the community, It was one of the best decision I made in modeling, well not clothes modeling, you know ship thingies, OMG the lego build has done me in lol As for a difficulty rating, well to be honest, I dont find it that difficult, due to the amount of members here with many years of model shipwright knowledge, especially our professional Tomick who are always on hand and will help no matter what, the only difficult section of the ship that could test any modelers skill is the Stern, but I know we will get through it together. I look forward to your company on the forum, and especially your build diary if you decide to share it with us!!! Best Wishes David Ship Builds on the go

might as well put my pennyworth in,scale 1-10 I'd give it 2 why? because of the help which is availiable, yes the launch planking is a pain, but what a good starter, for beginners, you can cut your teeth on it,with so many builds on the forum, you are spoilt for choice. but be warned, don't take it for granted,we will help you go the right way,but you have to build it,the instruction are first class in comparison to some of the other manufacturers.as long as you put up your build pics,we can help.the golden rule is READ THE INSTRUCTIONS,AND FOLLOW THE OFFICIAL BUILD,and bags of patience. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Hi Guy
If you were to go into a model shop and buy this kit, take it home and start doing it yourself you would find the difficulty would be about a 9. However, by building this kit with the type of instructions supplied and with the help of everyone and everything on this forum it drops to about 6. What you have to remember is that De Ag are in this to make money. They want people to complete the build, all 120 issues, What they do not want is for people to drop out after a short while because it is too difficult a build. Therefore be sure they have and will do as much as possible to make sure as many people as possible can build it. The golden rule, any doubts ask on this forum before doing anything you are not sure about.
Enjoy your build Ray
