I think something from the Royal Navy would make a great partwork.

I'm thinking HMS Illustrious, a Frigate or a Destroyer or even the new Queen Elisabeth class carrier Drool

I think the problem with designing models of current or future ships is that one won't get specs/plans. I mean it's not like you can go to the navy and say "Oh, say, you wouldn't have any plans of your new carrier lying around I could copy for reasons totally unrelated to selling them to the Russians."
