Just need some clarification on this. I have just added basswood strips to inside of the bulwarks on deck 3 and painted them red. It says in the instructions to smooth the wood before painting - which I did. My question is: Should the gun port linings be flush with the inside of the bulwarks? Mine protrude a little. It is not a problem sanding them flush with the added basswood. In any event when the 1x3x300 basswood strip is added (in issue 48) a slight protrusion will hardly be noticed. I know this is all cosmetic and not that important but would value anyone's input on this.

Hi Simon, after I lined the bulwarks I again sanded everything smooth ensuring the gunport lining were flush. It just tidied everything up nicely.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Alan

Thanks Alan - I will tidy this up. Since finishing the hull it seems to be progressing much faster - lots of fiddly jobs but no major repetitive work. SOS is looking good - I will post some pictures soon.
