Wow some of that etch is tiny.
I'm going to have to carefully read your build log and see if I can pick up any tips to help me with the battleship i'm about to start

Hi Michael, useful tools I find are a good set of pliers and tweezers, blue tack is useful too to hold bits in place while you work on them and then using a small ball of blue tack on the end of a craft knife blade to pick up etch and place it where you need it, i usually pre glue the area where the etch will be placed. I'm sure some of the other guys on this forum will have some useful tips too.

So i've been slowly working away on the ship, started to plank the decks, using 1mm x 1mm strip lime wood and 2mm at the edges. I pre cut the strips to the correct lengh, using wood glue mixed with black acrylic paint to achieve the deck caulking.

I've also drilled a couple of holes in the bottom of the hull and inserted a hex bolt so i can use a set screw to secure the model to the base once finished.

There are also a few images of some of the smaller details for the deck.

A stunning build Ben Blink Drool

I'm particularly impressed with the planking of the deck, that must have been some serious patience to get that done, a damn fine result too Drool Drool
