Great start Jase and some great advice about working with Resin, it's something that I've not worked with before now have a few kits that include resin upgrade parts so I will be remembering these tips

Cracking start to your build Jase, very nice work and enjoying this one already!! Love that little etched brass set of louvres on the side panel. Some great health and safety tips in there too for those who haven't tried a full resin build before and I agree, epoxy resin glue is stronger and more suitable as a gap filler too - very well done so far mate, watching this all the way!!
Glad to help with finding the Arab chap earlier, and looking forward to seeing him built and painted. Just a thought here Jase, will you be including a figure to represent the big South African guy played by Sir Anthony Quayle in the film? If so, it might be worth looking at this set of Hornet 1:35 replacement heads from Historex? I think the guy second from left looks quite similar to him with the same type of square jaw and short stubble haircut? :

Hope that helps and looking forward to your next update already Jase.

Hi Jase. Looking great there! I found a figure which might just do for the nurse. Have a look at the Preiser website at www.preiser-figuren-onlineshop.com and set No. 63069 There is a female wearing an 'almost' good set of overalls, you'd just need to extend the trouser bottoms and add the shirt pockets! Keep up the great work Robin First wooden ship: The Grimsby 12 Gun 'Frigate' by Constructo Second: Bounty DelPrado Part Works Third: HMS Victory DelPrado Part Works 1/100 scale Diorama of the Battle of the Brandywine from the American Revolutionary War Diorama of the Battle of New Falkland (unfinished sci-fi), Great War Centenary Diorama of the Messines Ridge Assault Index for the Victory diary is on page 1

HaHa!! Not sure I agree with you there Jase, I still haven't finished the Merlin engine (it's very detailed mind you!) from the 1:32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk IX that I entered into last year's competition, let alone the rest of the aircraft and dio .... and I'm gonna have to postpone that for a while now just to give me half a chance to finish this year's P-38 in time!!
I don't think you've got anything to worry about mate?!

Nice start Jase, work on the ambulance looks good so far and the layout for your diorama looks good. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished article!!
I really can't understand why the mainstream manufacturers haven't released a 1:35 kit of this Austin ambulance yet, especially as it is such a popular subject amongst modellers? There is a kit of the american Dodge ambulance which has been out for years so why not the Austin?

Great link Jase! That's a really nice looking kit too! I loved the bit about the pump could fit through a standard doorway - whoever designed that pump was certainly using their brains! Looking great on the build too, it's bringing back all the memories of putting my little Airfix K2 together for the airfield diorama (yours seems to have more bits in it though! ) Robin.
