Here is my progress on this great kit from Round 2. It goes together nicely. I have just taped the landing gear as I have pre ordered the aluminum parts. It is pretty sturdy with the plastic struts.

My most favourite space ship if all time.

This one looks great and i never knew it existed in this size. Especiaaly like the individual struts which in the bandai, imai, airfix or whoever still has that mould were solid infills.

Think i will have to see if i can track one of these down.

Hope you are enjoying your build of this one
Happy Modelling

This is a cool ship, great to see it being built.

I believe there is a new version coming out soon?

This looks a fantastic kit! I have a couple of the old Airfix ones (mostly in bits) and I can still remember the laborious job of drilling and filing out the solid moulded struts as Birdaj2 mentioned! Might be worth a rebuild in the future with aluminium tubing instead!
The thing I love about Gerry Anderson designs is identifying the various kit parts which went in to form the details - there's definately two halves of a lunar module back by the engine nozzles!BigGrin

Really looking forward to seeing this beauty come together!

That looks cool.I have a 22 inch resin Eagle and a 44 inch resin eagle. The 44 inch one is incredible.it has a brass spine and is absolutely massive.I havent plucked up the courage to build it yet.

If I remember rightly, the 44 inch is the same scale as the original version they used for filming?BigGrin BigGrin

I am finished with the Eagle except for the decals. The only painting that was done was on the engines, landing gear struts, the interior, the rescue pod stripes, and weathering. The base color is the plastic.

Thanks for all the comments everybody. I have finished up with the decals, and the Eagle is complete. This was a fantastic kit to work on and the fit was very good. I hope they release the pods as separate kits in the future as I want to do all 3.
