You have amazing modelling skills mate. Scratchbuilding is one of the hardest forms of modelling. She looks fantastic. Our forum welcomes scratchbuilders so feel free to post from the beginning of a project. Wow wow wow!!!! I'm always in awe of people that scratch build, it takes a lot of dedication, skill and imagination to find a use for those every day objects. The end result here is simply stunning, a pure work of art

Goodness me!!! Many thanks you guys for all the kind comments. As requested, a bit of info on making the body. Sorry there aren't many pics of the process but I didn't start taking photos of the build until I was a bit of the way in. The buck was made 'eggbox' style in mounting board, using Aston Martin sectional plans of the car, scaled down to a fraction less than 1/8. The eggbox was filled with expanding foam, carved smooth and sanded to shape. A friend then vac formed it in several parts from flat sheet. He's a pro vac former and has the equipment. That first shell was assembled and using filler, more shape and detail was added and panel spaces cut back deeper. Another set of body parts was made and the body built up from those. Roy.

Very nice indeed. Not sure its a lack interest or the like with scrachbuilding but more a case of it being so skilled its outside of most peoples ability. Very much appreciate seeing builds such as this myself though so many thanks for sharing. Happy Modelling
