Sorry to be a pain with all these questions but I do want to get this right. In another thread I got the impression that the middle deck support beams need to be chamfered to fit snug up against the rib as with the lower deck.

However the rib on the level and the one above is angled so whilst the beam touches at the top there is a gap at the bottom. Note I am not talking about tapering the beam lengthwise to fit under the rib deck supports, I have done that already.

However the gap is as wide as the beam so any chamfering will turn it into a tri-angular piece. What did you do for your build at this point? I am about to glue these down so thoughts very welcome.

The middle deck gun support beam sits upright, and yes there is an angled gap between frame and beam which will not be visible once planking is complete, chamfering was mentioned if your beam was too tight a fit beneath the frames.
