Gonna Keep This Up To Date On A Monthly Basis, So we can see that DeAgo are not doing there job!!!

The Idea is that they are sent a week before they hit the newsagents shelf then we as subscribers get the same issue at the same time ie: our next despatch Issues 27-30 should be sent in time then we get them by or on the 26th October, The same time you can buy it at the Newsagensts, as you can cleary see this isnt the case! Would be nice to know Admins Thoughts on this????

all subscribers should of received the issues last week on Monday/Tuesday just before i get the 26th issue. Now because of the delay by the time you get your next lot i would of been 5 issues ahead :S

i've pm'd admin suggesting that they request from management that 2 months worth of issues be sent to subscribers to catch up to the news agents.

this dispatch issue will continue to snowball and eventually the members of this forum will turn into an angry mob all bolting in admins direction, not really fair on admin and if the problem can be resolved with a simple gesture as that then who knows, admin may have luck with the suggestion bringing everyone up to date

As I have posted on another link..

I personally think its upto each individual if they want to catch up to the current issues ,If you are behind by 6-8 issues like some late subscribers are then that would be £75 on one payment with the issues due aswell.. Most can't afford that, which is why they chose to subscribe in the first place. If I was behind I wouldn't want too catch up as I can't afford to catch up.

By the looks of it Deag have gotten on top of the delivery problems so I hope there are no more people complaining on here thst they are late by a couple of days. The Forum is for helping people build the Model and share pics etc. Which is what I enjoy doing.

So Enjoy your Builds allBigGrin BigGrin , problems and all(Planking is Fun) lol.BigGrin BigGrin

No sorry Lonestar I wished we would get them at regular intervals not 5-6 weeks after the newsagents!!!! just look at the dates I, along with a lot of other people recieved issue 19 on the 16th Sept, it was in the shops on 10th Aug !!!!!!!!!!, but we got Issue 10 at about the same time. Now who's taking the Put!!Cursing

In reponse to Magpie, I am not a late subscriber, I started at Issue 2 while the TV ad was still running!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't saying you were a late subscriber,(I subscribed before the ad came out as ,I already had a subscription for another ship and got email that they were doing it). There are a few on here though that are moaning.. I do understand where you are coming from though with the dispatch dates as we are meant to be four weekly but get it monthly or just over. there a re 4.33 weeks in a month so in no time we would be behind.

I posted the post on the other thread as people are just complaining for the sake of it because the despatch date says this and its not magically appeared the next day. Ageeably the post could be better but we know what deag are like but still moan when its 1 day after the despatch date.

Deag make 2 despatches and some people get it a couple days before others , they post on here that they have received it which in turn everyone else starts threads because they haven't received it,

I get mine when I get it. I've got loads to do on mine anyways.BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

Thanks for listening Chris...

to be honest it wouldnt surprise me if this was anticipated and admin/custoemr services/ management or someone along the lines had already thought ahead that people may complain about being behind the newsagents and that there MAY POSSIBLY be a procedure already in place to do this.

however admin asked me how people would react to having a double dispatch in a month with regaurds to financhial side of it, i informed that alot of people wouldnt like the idea of paying for two months worth in one go to catch up but instead maybe spread the extra issues to catch up over 2 or 3 months. some people may not want to catch up at all.

so i will suggest to admin the following: those who are concerned with the difference in scipts and newagents fill in a form that admin can organise and possible arrangements via it and take that to customer services or who ever needs it.

this should then please all people concerned, those who do AND dont want to catch up and come up with a reasonable solution to finances

Ahoy Mateys!!

Try and beat this!!

Just phoned DeAg's representatives here in South Africa.

I subbed online 29/08/2010. After waiting "28 days", apparently my order was dispatched on the 2nd of October from Johannesburg and will reach Uitenhage Post Office by end of week or next Monday. This is a distance of approx 1200km. Approx. 12 hours drive by car or approx 2-3 hours on a plane.Huh

Usual delivery from Uitenhage P.O. is anything from 1 day to 1 week. A distance of 10km from my house. That is if it does not get stolen or "misplaced".BigGrin

I suppose I have to be thankful that they don't use messengers with cleft sticks anymore.LOL

Anyway, looking forward to itLaugh

BTW, not moaning, used to this, just to illustrate 3rd world service....LOL

Regards
Jacques

Re: Russ. I subscribe and get copies from my newsagent and I am upto Issue 26 on both buys. I will be one issue ahead on my newsagent one tomorrow. So I can't see how you are so far behind on your subscription issues.

Personally I am happy how it is. If I was unhappy I could ask admin myself and do not need anyone else to do it for me. I am of course grown up now. All the suggestions you came up with all seem to come from the post I made earlier. I am sure Admin can ask people the question themselves rather than ask somebody whom doesn't know us at all.

For those whom have a Problem Try PM Admin or wait for Official responce first from Admin not anyone else.

To be honest, I have no real complaint with DeAgostini, even with last months late delivery, and if you think about it, as soon as the problem was apparent, Admin sorted it out for us to receive our issues by first class post, then informed us all, we could keep the spare copies FREE OF CHARGE! other than that, any parts that have been damaged in the post have been sorted out with satisfactory results.

Now we have the issue about the cannons, most of you complained about the materials, so Admin took what you said and spoke up on our behalf, they decided to change them so we would have a higher standard of quality, so how is this a bad thing? yes I know we still have the issue of the two that require replacing, but at least DeAgostini did listen to us.

I love this community, and I have made some very good friends, who I hope to remain in touch with well after we complete our HMS Victory subscription, I certainly would subscribe to them again, as I feel they have met a suitable standard for a subscription company, better than others I have used, but lately, I'm getting fed up of coming on here to find a new post complaining about nothing!!!! If your not happy with what your getting or with DeAgostini, why keep it up.

Best wishes
David
