Hello all

I have just finished the front fuselage, well not all of it,
so thought I would dry fit it to see what it looks like
and found looking rear to front, as you can see by the photo, the
front part is slightly angled to the right.
I've been meticulous about keeping things square so my question is
can I correct this and has anyone else had a similar problem.

Thanks all

Regards.

Alan

If you have used PVA wood glue for the nose build, I would be inclined to soften the PVA and deconstruct, then reconstruct squarely. Otherwise your problem does not just stop at this, as you'll later discover that nose skins do not fit.

The only real way forward is a nose rebuild. If you have used CA then the a decostruct will be that much harder even with a CA de-bonder.

Hi Tomick

I think the problem may have been the front fuselage.

I deconstructed it, and the nose section-not too bad a job-put it back together and I think I may have cured it.

I've attached a photo and to give some perspective I've squared it
against the edge of the worktop and a box.

Do you think looking at it, it looks square?

I know it's difficult but another pair of eyes etc!

Thank you, much appreciated.

Regards.

Hi Trev

Thanks.

I hope it will be alright! It was certainly fun taking it apart!

And very well rectified. Not always an easy decision to redo a part of a build but you have manage to do so very well.

All looks nice and neat now and you would never know there had been a problem - well done Cool
Happy Modelling

Thanks Tony

Definitely not an easy decision but essential as I'm sure you will agree?

It was only a few hours extra work but has undoubtedly saved me a major
headache in the future.

Thanks again to you and everyone so far for your comments of support.

Regards.
