Hi all,
I am looking for information (preferably pictures) of the 1975 Transpacific yacht race entry from Japan "Wing of Yamaha".
I have acquired a 1/20 Hasegawa kit and trying to research via the internet has been fruitless.
Has anyone any information they would be willing to share on either 1. The actual boat, or 2. The kit (has anyone ever built it?)
I think I may have acquired one of the rarest kits on the planet on an equally rare documented subject! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards, Chris

Mr T, Thank you.
That tiny photo on the Yamaha site is the best I've seen and as you can see from the timeline webpage the "1975 Transpacific race winning yacht" only manages to get a one line mention!!
I am finding it incredible how rare it is to find any info on this obviously important yacht.
I really enjoy following your builds by the way.
Regards, Chris

My Hasegawa 1/20 Wing of Yamaha has arrived. Within the box is double sided colour sheet of photographs of the real yacht.
I have scanned these but unfortunately I don't know how to post images (head hung in shame...)

Chris Before posting it might be running a question oast one of the admin chaps/Mr T to make sure there are no copyright issues. Although your kit you do have to be a bit careful of re-posting inages if they have copyright. Hope you do not mind me mentioning this As to posting pictures all is revealed here http://forum.model-space....aspx?g=posts&t=244
I just import mine from camera to PAINT. Resize to 600 pixcels and save back to my pc. When doing your text at the very bottom is a tick box that says post images (or the like) - click that and when you POST you get a screen that allows you to select images and upload. Happy Modelling

Hi Tony,
Many thanks for the advice. That never even crossed my mind!
Hopefully one day I'll get round to building it and will be able to post pictures of the build instead!
(To build everything in the stash I'll have to live as long as Noah...)
Regards, Chris
