Hi I'm Jason,

I'm new to the forum. I haven't assembled a model in over 30 years. But, when I saw the Millennium Falcon, I had to have it. I also ordered the MP4/4. I'm really excited about the Senna car. However, I think I have bitten off much more than I can chew with the Falcon.Crying ... We will see how it goes. wish me luck. Expect lots for rookie questions. The first of which is... here do I even start??

Hi and Welcome to the forum.

I'm guessing you are asking do you even start the Falcon, I say go for it BigGrin

What is it that concerns you the most about it?

The build itself is pretty simple as long as you follow the supplied instructions, they are written with the complete beginner in mind. If its the painting the is concerning you then there are instructions covering this later in the build, also aimed at the beginner.

If you want to practice the painting part just buy a cheap model, doesn't matter what it is, the cheaper the better. You can then use that to practice on so that any mistakes are made before touching the Falcon.

If in doubt just ask, there are lots of very talented people here that I'm sure would be happy to impart so friendly advice Cool

Most of all enjoy BigGrin

Welcome to the forum. You will be fine with all the superb members here and their knowledge. As davetwin has said, a cheap model to practice painting on is an excellent way to learn, even I have a scrap model that I practice a new tecnique on, and if you dont fancy doing that, any plastic tub or container is just as good, although dont use SHMBO best tupperware, tends to make em a bit touchy!!!LOL BigGrin BigGrin
