Hi Pugman, The best way to make wooden tree nails is using bamboo cocktail sticks/tooth picks. Drill a hole which ever size you would like. I use around a 1mm drill bit in a metal ruler or sheet. Then place cocktail stick in a mini drill on slow speed and push into the hole slowly. After so long you should had a 3-4 mm trenail. Its a long process but well worth it. Here is link to my Syren build with cocktail stick trenails. http://forum.model-space...s&m=34291#post34291
Or maybe you can drill holes in planks .8mm and fill with light brown wood filler and sand smooth. Also there is the fishing line method I used on my surprise build. It's quick cheap and has good results. Here is link to Surprise build. http://forum.model-space...s&m=11905#post11905
Chris. On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

At Victorys scale your treenail should be about 0.4mm diameter. another method to add to the others discussed is to drill a slightly smaller hole and use black plastic rod. Jase “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

I just used cocktail sticks banged in and smoothed off, Tony. The hole size will determine the proportions. Have a look here. Treenails

Hi Pugman, modellers all have their own preferred method of treenailing. Think the best thing you can do here is use the forum's 'Search' function and enter Treenail. You'll see hundreds of results you can delve into giving many different methods and showing the results.... From there you can choose the method that suits you best.... Hope this helps. Regards Alan
