Pack 7 contains Stages 36 - 41 Stage 36 – Rear driveshaft and stub axle.
Parts supplied:
Rear driveshaft Stub axle Drive pin Hexagonal drive washer Flanged nut
Your new components will transfer the rotation of the engine to the right rear wheel of your Huracán. These pieces are the same as those supplied with Stage 21. You will also need the right rear lower arm and hub carrier from Stage 29, which you should separate from the right rear suspension mount by pulling out the pin that holds the arm and the mount together.
Insert the stub axle into the hub carrier then insert the drive pin through the hole in the projecting part of the stub axle. Identify the side of the hexagonal drive washer with the recess to house the drive pin and place the drive washer onto the stub axle, fitting the recess over the drive pin. Tighten the flanged nut onto the end of the axle then insert one end of the driveshaft into the stub axle and use an elastic band to hold it in place.

Stage 38 – Silencer and exhaust manifold
Parts supplied:
Silencer A Silicone gaskets Manifold gasket Exhaust manifold Exhaust gasket Silencer B Pressure port 3 x 8mm screw 2 x 8mm screws 3 x 28mm screws Spring washers
This stage’s parts are components for your Huracán’s exhaust system. The four exhaust and tailpipes that will be delivered with the next stage will complete this part of the model.
Prepare silencer A, identifiable by the rectangular opening in the centre, and the two silicone gaskets. Then fit the gaskets into the grooves, starting from the ends. Align the screw holes in silencer A with those in silencer B, while making sure that the gaskets remain in position. Tighten a 2 x 8mm screw into each of the holes. Prepare the exhaust manifold, the manifold gasket and the four 3 x 8mm screws. Place the gasket onto the end of the manifold then place a 3 x 8mm screw into each of the four holes. Place the manifold up against the opening in the silencer and tighten the screws into the holes to join the parts. Use the cross wrench to tighten the pressure port into the hole in the side of the manifold. Place the spring washers onto the 3 x 28mm screws, then fit the manifold gasket onto the screws. You will continue assembling the exhaust system in the next stage.

Stage 39 – Exhaust tailpipes and gaskets
Parts supplied:
Exhaust pipes Short tailpipes Long tailpipes Self-locking nuts M3 3 x 15mm screws Exhaust pipe gaskets Tailpipe gaskets
The parts supplied include the four tailpipes, plus the exhaust pipes that connect them to the silencer you assembled in the previous stage. Like any exhaust system, that of your Huracán has gaskets that seal the joints between its different sections.
Place the four tailpipe gaskets onto the inner ends of the tailpipes then push a long and a short tailpipe into the holes in one set of exhaust pipes. Place a 3 x 15mm screw into the hole in the exhaust pipes, then use the cross wrench to tighten an M3 nut onto the end of it. Repeat for the other tailpipes and exhaust pipes. Place the two exhaust pipe assemblies next to the silencer from Stage 38, along with the two exhaust pipe gaskets. Remove the six screws holding the two halves of the silencer together, and place the exhaust pipes into the gaps at the side. Place the two halves of the silencer back together and secure with the screws, check that the gasket remains seated correctly.

Stage 40 – Brake disc and pads
Parts supplied:
Brake pads Brake disc support 3 x 12mm screws Locking pin Brake disc
The parts supplied with this stage are part of your RC Huracán’s brake system. Please note that when the mechanism is assembled, the brake pads should be free to move a little on their mounting screws in order for the system to work properly.
You will also need the right rear suspension mount from Stage 23 and the driveshaft and gear assembly from Stage 33. Pass the two 3 x 12mm screws through the holes of the brake pads, positioning the pads with their fibre-covered sides facing inwards. Insert the screws into the holes in the rear suspension mount, and begin tightening them. Place the disc between the pads leaving a small gap. When you tighten the screws, ensure that a small space remains between the heads of the screws and the pads. Remove the E-rings located at the ends of the driveshaft, and then remove the rest of the parts from it.
Pass the driveshaft through the suspension mount and the brake disc, then place the brake disc support over the shaft and into the hole in the centre of the disc. Place the locking pin into the recess in the support and through the hole in the driveshaft to hold it in place. Reassemble the parts of the driveshaft and gear assembly, and lock them into place once more with the E-rings.

Stage 41 – Rear shock absorber
Parts supplied:
Spring Shock absorber body Adjusting nut Lower end cap Shock absorber top Upper end cap Spring holder Piston Washer E-rings Shaft Ball-headed screw Diaphragm Spacer Ball end
The parts for this stage are the components of the third of your model’s shock absorbers. To complete the assembly of this shock absorber, which is identical to the first two, you can use the replenishing oil supplied with Stage 2 and last used in Stage 16.
Take the shock shaft and identify the end with the two small grooves in it. Using some needle-nose pliers, fit an E-ring onto the groove that is closer to the centre of the shaft. Fit the piston onto the grooved end of the shaft. Push it down firmly, so that it butts up against the E-ring already fitted. Take the second E-ring and, again using the pliers, fit it into the other groove on the shaft to fix the piston in position.
Take the shock absorber body and fit the red washer into the smaller diameter end, then fit the black spacer.
Carefully screw the lower end cap of the shock absorber onto the body. Screw it on as far as it will go, but don’t apply too much force because that could damage it.
Hold the shaft by the piston, and lubricate the threaded end with a few drops of shock absorber oil. Now insert the threaded end of the shaft into the wide end of the shock absorber body. Push it through the washer until the threaded part emerges from it.
Using a strip of card or cloth to protect the shaft, grip it with pliers and screw the ball end onto the threaded part of it, using your fingertips to tighten it.
With a modelling clamp, hold the body of the shock absorber vertical. Fill the inside with the oil supplied, up to within about 1mm of the top, allow to stand for a few minutes to let any air bubbles escape.
Now push the ring of the shock absorber top through the upper end cap and insert the rubber diaphragm with the convex side facing out. Now screw the upper end cap onto the upper end of the shock absorber body. Tighten it just enough for the diaphragm to make the necessary seal so that there is no loss of oil.
Screw the adjusting nut onto the body of the shock absorber, fit the spring over the shock absorber shaft and up against the adjusting nut. When the assembly is complete, the nut can be screwed in and out to vary the amount that the spring is compressed.
Fit the spring holder between the end of the spring and the ball end. The holder will keep the spring in place. Finally, insert the ball-headed screw into the hole in the shock absorber top. This screw is what will secure the shock to the front shock mount in the next assembly stage.
You can check the operation of the shock by holding its ends between your forefinger and thumb, then compress and release it.
This stage is now complete, save the remaining oil for later.

Pack 8 contains Stages 42 - 47 Stage 42 –Steering and rear suspension tie rods.
Parts supplied:
Ball ends Ball-headed screws Steering tie rods Rear suspension tie rod
The two longer rods make up part of the system that allows the front wheels to steer the model and will be connected to the central servo saver. The shorter rod is of one of two that will be mounted to the rear suspension. At the ends of the tie rods you will fit a ball end. The double thread on the rods are counter threaded to prevent the ball ends coming loose, as well as making it possible to adjust the length without needing to dismantle them.
Take one of the longer steering rods. To fit a ball end on the right side, you have to turn it clockwise, and to fit one to the left, you must instead screw it counterclockwise. Wrap some paper around the middle of the rod and hold there with pliers. Screw a ball end onto either end of the rod. The two tie rods must have the same length, use a gauge to measure them - the recommended distance is 66.1mm. Now place the two ball ends next to the shorter rod then screw them onto the rod - the recommended distance between these is 2.5mm.
Stage complete - Store the tie rods together with the ball headed screws until they are needed.

Stage 43 – Servo and servo horn
Parts supplied:
Servo Servo horn
With this stage you receive one of the two servos of your radio controlled Huracán. These will be fixed to the chassis plate and will be used to activate the accelerator/ brake and the steering. Both servos are the same. You cannot yet fit the servo, so the instructions will provide you with details about servos and how they work. This will be useful to know so that you can identify issues if something breaks or goes wrong in the future.

Stage 44 – Front upper arm
Parts supplied:
Front upper arm Ball headed screw Pins Bearing (large) Bearing (small) Locknut
The components received with this stage are part of the front suspension of your radio-controlled Huracán. The front upper arm, ball headed screw and locknut are identical to those received in Stage 4, and can be used on either side of the model. In this stage you complete the suspension unit of the left front wheel, using the parts from Stage 21.
Recover the main model assembly, along with the parts from Stages 4 and 21. Insert the ball-headed screw into the bottom hole of the hub carrier then insert the locknut into the same hole as the screw with the flat part facing out. Screw the nut into the hole and loosen slightly so that the ball headed screw retains its movement. Place the small bearing in the hole in the centre of the hub carrier, then, place the large bearing in the hole on the other side. Tighten the screw into the hole in the left front lower arm but do not fully tighten, leave about three crests showing so that when the model is complete there is room for adjustment. Take the stub axle and insert into the larger bearing. Insert the drive shaft into the ends of the two stub axles, in the differential and the hub carrier. Pass one of the pins through the holes in the left front side frame and the upper arm, connecting the two parts together. Insert the pin through the hole in the stub axle, making sure that it is centred. Place the hexagon drive washer over the stub axle and pin and tighten the flanged nut to hold the parts in place.

Stage 45 – Steering servo saver
Parts supplied:
Servo saver A Servo saver B E-ring Spring Outer shaft Inner shaft 3x10mm screw
With this stage you receive the servo saver, which is part of the steering control, integral to the function of your radio-controlled Huracán. The spring performs the function of absorbing the energy produced by sudden shifts to the wheels caused by impacts and collisions, protecting the internal components of the servo from possible breakage or damage.
The two parts of the servo saver are identified by the letters A and B. Combine the two parts by engaging the V sections of the circular parts of them. Clip the E-ring into the groove at the end of the outer shaft, then place the spring onto the shaft so that it rests against the E-ring. Place the servo saver onto the shaft, with part B against the spring. Push the servo saver down, compressing the spring, you may find this easier with waterpump pliers. Insert the second E-ring into the groove at the end of the shaft, above servo saver A. Use pliers to squeeze the E-ring into the groove, securing all the parts of the servo saver. Stage complete, keep the screw and the inner shaft for a later stage.

Stage 46 – Air filter
Parts supplied:
Air filter element Air filter oil Air filter
With this stage you receive the air filter of your RC Huracán and a bottle of oil to grease the sponge. This important part of your model will be fitted to the intake duct of the carburetor and when the sponge is combined with the oil, will purify the air being sucked into the engine by holding onto the particles of dirt.
Take the bottle of oil and apply several drops to each side of the filter sponge, and a few drops to the edge of the filter. Squeeze the filter sponge to make sure the oil properly penetrates it then dab away any excess oil with a paper towel. Push the sponge into the filter, there is a lip that will hold the sponge in position so make sure it is positioned below this. Stage Complete

Stage 47 – Brake discs
Parts supplied:
Front brake discs Rear brake discs 2 x 5mm screws
The parts included with this stage are the front and rear brake discs of the model. These are added to closer recreate the look of the Lamborghini Huracán, as they don’t actually function as the brake, as this is mounted directly to the transmission. At first glance the four disks look the same, but in fact the two front disks are different from the rear discs. The mounting holes in the front discs sit diagonally either side of the central hole, while those of the rear discs sit lower down. You will now mount both front discs and one rear disc.
Recover the model assembly, the right front hub carrier (Stage 8) and the right rear hub carrier (Stage 36). Identify the differences between discs: the positions of the posts are a different distance from each other. Tap the thread of the six holes in the posts on the rears of the discs using one of the 5mm screws supplied. Insert the posts on the rear of the front disc into the holes in the front left hub carrier then tighten two screws into the holes. Screw the rear brake disc onto the rear brake hub in the same way. When fitted to the model, the brake caliper should be facing forward. Finally join the second front brake disc to the right front carrier hub. When fitted, the caliper will face the rear of the model. Keep the leftover disc and screws for use when the left rear hub carrier is assembled.
Stage complete.
